I know several guys who played the lonely road of analog nodes ,using 710s and other non digital radios ,who out of boredom and frustration gave that up very quickly ,if you have an HRI, get a 400 and be full digital node ,there isn't enough demand for digital realy yet in fusion ,they have only recently with deep discounting and features moved alot of radios ,if you go"all in " there's nothing in the fusion world not open to you and your friends via your node .As an analog node you will just about go unoticed for the effort , there is little benefit to tying up even surplus cheap equipment for something like that ,maybe in 5-10 years if the mode catches fire , at this point unless you have an existing base of users scrambling for an analog node ,you will be invisible and lonely .
