I have a list programed for digital with those frequencies. Haven't heard anything yet but I see the "NXDN" signature popping up. Perhaps I live too far from the park but the old system always came in perfectly. BTW, I heard nothing at all on the old system during GREEK FEST unless I just missed something.
I live 3 blocks from the park and I can confirm that they dropped the trustworthy LTR system. I just got my NXDN key today and I'm hearing SOME activity there on NXDN. I'm hearing some IDs that aren't listed in the database yet but definitely coming from the Fair.

I'm surprised that there isn't a WAFD patch yet. I supposed that will be forthcoming. It'll also be interesting to see just how that second system will be used. Thinking back, I still remember when they had <4 VHF frequencies along with several lower power simplex VHF. Then they had three or four conventional UHF frequencies that became the foundation for the LTR analog system that served until just recently. Briefly, there was an LTR system just for the expo building. Don't forget to include the MURS/color dot frequencies since those tend to get used during the fair. Plus the parking people tend to be on their own frequencies unless that's different too now.

Can you explain more about the NXDN key? is this for a scanner or a full radio? Thanks

I have the Uniden SDS200. In order to keep the price 'reasonably' low (it's still a small fortune), Uniden included the ability to hear NXDN, DMR, ProVoice and some others, BUT Uniden has to pay a royalty to the provider for every radio that includes it. So, Uniden made it an option for $75. The code is already in the radio, but you have to enter a hexadecimal key code to unlock it on your radio. Each key is based upon the serial number and ESN of the radio, so it can't be copied. For more details go to:

There is another option, go to myUniden - Customer Product Registration and Support Area and register your scanner and pay $50 bucks to Uniden and get the key and enter it yourself. I just got another SDS100 and bought an NXDN upgrade and put my key in yesterday but if your not sure how to do it there are several YouTube videos or you can pay a higher price at one of the several companies that sell scanners and they will help install it for you but you have to pay extra, hope this helps

Bringing this thread back on topic, Wednesday nights is live music nights in the summer and they were using TG 37 for everyone except parking ops. Thought I heard something like this is the "Manager 1" channel, but not 100% sure. Interstate Parking was using their usual TG 47.

Yeah 37 was popping up now that you mentioned it, Can't remember if I heard it on YOUTH CENTER or GRANDSTAND.

In the past few days, I've heard TGIDs #1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 10, 12, 26, 27, 30, 37, 41, 47, 51 and 55. I'm pretty sure 41 is the RV park but I'm not as certain about the others.

Have you actually TRIED to go to the link you referenced to find the link to purchase this key? That was the first thing I tried a few weeks ago, but kept running into dead ends. It seemed as if the ONLY radio it worked with would have been the SDS200E which was apparently made for Europe, NOT FOR NORTH AMERICA. Furthermore, the cost is listed as higher than $50. Here's the direct uniden link. If someone wants to post the actual link that has the NORTH AMERICA upgrades on it for $50, I'd love to see it because I couldn't find it.

I tuned in this morning and haven't heard anything on the system. Is anybody else hearing anything there now?

The "grandstand" side of the system was jumping yesterday but not a sound on the "youth center" side. I really question why they just didn't combine everything instead of two seemingly paralell systems.

I not 100% sure yet, but seems like police and public safety (security) are possibly on one system while other units (Grounds, etc) are on the other system. I ran DSDPlus on one of the systems yesterday and it was only showing police and pub safety groups the entire day. I know GenCom was on-site so maybe they were playing with the system.

I think the WAPD patch was up too and there were several maintenance related calls. Regardless, tomorrow will be interesting for sure.

8TAC92 is being used again as a patch of the fair park PD dispatch this year albeit from their new system. The signal is very strong here just NW of the park, possibly a temporary repeater on the grounds.

Got any details? I know I'm not hearing all I should on the NXDN system, but I'm not sure why yet.

Well yesterday, I heard nothing on the "youth center side" but plenty on the "grand stand side". Like I said, today will be the big test. Put your scanner in search for both lists since any number of new TG's could pop up today and the duration of the fair.

At first, I just made one system with two sites. It seems to be easier to make two different systems, each containing one site. I'm guessing by the first few days of the fair we'll know more, but again it's possible that one system was set up for just public safety (PD, FD and Security) and the other system is for non-public safety (Grounds, Expo Center, etc).

Hopefully with the new system, we will get a bunch of "What channel is marketing on now" type traffic.

13 appears to be bathroom cleaning people. 18 is the Expo Center. I've heard zero on the YC site. I've also heard nothing from Ag or animal barns yet. I'm still convinced I'm not hearing everything.
