Well they just had a stabbing at the Pentagon Metro. Have a hard time believing that the system would be quiet after thatI just finished inputting the new 700 frequencies one by one in my SDS200. I am only 4 miles from the Burke Tower. I did not get any CCs or anything else. But you are right, the existing system is silent.
So if their not using the new and not using the old, what the heck are they using?
Please let me know if you have any updates!Crime isn't an approved telework gig
Even with a large amount of people home for coronavirus, there is still a staggering amount of activity around the area today.
MTPD-1 isn't showing traffic since like yesterday. Even with no one there you would expect something to be coming over the MTPD talkgroups. They are normally a very chatty bunch. Time to pull on the equipment today....
Is that the same system that I was talking about?Picking up what appears to be a new police frequency based on traffic. 51808 - might as well program it in the scanners. Part time encryption. Also have 35024 as an unknown talkgroup. Not enough traffic to really make anything out, but it's all in the clear. I am going to guess something rail operations related. Radio IDs seem to line up.
