Working 8992

Been listening to 8992 for about 30min now, and noticed there seems to be more station calling than on 11175. "Axeminster" was being called by one station requesting access into the net. Now "hotel? hotel?" Is calling Axeminster on 8992.

So would 8992 be used more for stations calling each other than on the other channels?

Gotcha, thanks Mass. I'm still new to listening to HF. I saw the 4### channel was primary at night.

8992 Is that fine line between night and day...but better mostly at nite! The 4??? is definetly a night time freq!
