Ok here's the deal, if you dig into my posts you'll know I'm not a newbie by a long shot. That being said I need someone to walk me through all these "worldwide coverage radios" I see advertised on Instagram and X among other places on the web all the time, it's annoying! I assume these radios are basically a glorified version of a basic phone-to-phone talk feature. Meaning they need a backbone infrastructure or access to the Internet like the old NEXTEL. So my initial thinking is they are useless if the cell networks go down? Or are they using satellites? Also they always say once you buy t h e radio, there's "no monthly fee". I almost want to sue these folks for false advertising for saying these are "EMERGENCY RADIOS", that would have been done by now. OK folks make me look like a fool and po int out the obvious. Walk me through it!
