This thing,

I can't get the power company to do anything about the power line noise. It is variable, generally it is worse during the day, the lower the humidity the worse it is. On windy days you can hear it cut in and out very frequently so it has to be some component that is moving around.

This device claims to help with this. I'm monitoring the railbad around 161MHz, it says it works up to Low VHF.

If it will work for me, how do you hook it up? Does it require a second antenna?

I would love to get rid of the noise to improve my audio feed for me any anyone that listens, humidity is generally lower around here in the winter so it is really bad right now.

I would not think it would work as rail is in the vhf high band and this unit is really optimized for below 30 MHz.
It does require a noise or sense antenna. This is a phasing device and the sense antenna needs to receive the noise you are hoping to null out.

I own one of these units and I think it really works well for HF.

Keep at it. You might just be getting to people who don't know how to process that information you gave them. Persistence will pay off.

As stated above it will not help above 30 mhz
What antenna are you using
Have you moved the antenna to different locations
What radio are you using
Have you checked the cable from your antenna and the connections
There are many factors that can effect your reception
Make a check list and go thru them one by one .
