Ws-1040 firmware stuck error

Hi I have a ws-1040 scanner and today I went to update the firmware. I followed the instructions and downloaded a file from the Whistler website, pressed the PGM and power button to turn it on, plugged in the programming cable and clicked on upgrade. SW software upgrade error and it's just says the scanner contains no CPU application code. When I press update, I get a CPU upgrade error turn off

I figured it out, I assumed it was a WS-1040 when in fact I have a Radio Shack Pro-251 which is the same radio, but the firmware is not the same. I found a copy of the 651 firmware and it restored the scanner and updated it to version 2.9
