ws 1040 first program

Hi, I am a tow service operator in Fremont County, Wyoming. I just bought a Whistler WS 1040 and I had no idea I had to program it. Can anyone help me with initial set up?

Most folks go with software to program these radios, although it's possible to do it manually. If you have questions about the Whistler scanner, we have a forum devoted to it. At the very bottom of the above article is a link to the Easier to Read manuals, where many people start.

win 500

I completed the steps for win 500 and the scanner showed that it was downloading 100% of the list but now it just says "nothing enabled"

I think at this point it should be scanning but I hear no traffic and this "nothing enabled" has me worried.

Did you read the section on this error message in the Win500 wiki? This is one of the resources linked in the article I supplied earlier...
