WS1095 vs WS1098

The question came up: Is there any difference between WS1095 and WS1098 besides the faceplate? I say no, one can become the other by swapping the faceplates. But I never tried that.

Does anyone know the answer for sure?

I have two 1095’s that I installed the keyboard front
panels and had no problems. I asked Whistler
before purchase and was told there are no differences
other than the front panels.
