Could someone tell me why wyoming county wv last update is 4-20-2010 and the last update for logan county wv is 10-14-2009???????? Why are these soo far behind??? This is close to the end of 2011 and it is a long time for an update.

You may not realize that updates come from members like you. The database and forum Admin's do not enter anything unless submitted by a member. Often, there are members out there that know of some changes, but are hesitant to submit. Also, there are many stable county radio systems that simply do not change.
The place to ask this question would be in your state forum. You might find some of these reluctant members who would comment there. You could also try searching segments of the pubic safety frequencies to see if YOU can find some new frequencies to update.

It appears that both counties are up-to-date. Don't believe anything has changed except for a few new WVIRP TGs for these counties.

I am just going by the date on the last update. I thought that if radioreference had updated any county or state it would have a newer date on the post. No big deal. I can just go to the fcc home page and look it up for myself. I just thought that by joining radioreference it would save me some time on the process.

Actually, it usually saves you time because FCC records are notoriously misleading. A majority of the time. frequencies licensed are not used for a long time, and sometimes never. RR saves you the time by only listing those personally verified by a member. Of course, you may find some hiddlen jewels in the FCC records, but as ab8sn indicates, what's in RR appears to be the latest.
If nothing has been changed in the county, then it won't need to be updated. The county I live in hasn't been updated in nearly 5 years, but it's still accurate.

Another thing to do is compare the FCC listings to the RRDB. If you find something different, monitor it. If its something active and not in the RRDB, submit it. I've found quite s few things this way over the past years.

Quite the contrary...
We do NOT rely on the FCC database. We rely on our members to submit information that is known to be in use and accurate.
If you want a website that mindlessly copies the FCC database, I suggest you head on over to CityFreq.
We try to keep our database accurate and clean.
