Hi Guys;

Simple question I'm sure but here goes. I have a BCD436HP scanner and have a new SDS200 coming in the next few days. Any problem using Sentinel to take my existing setup from the handheld scanner and uploading that to the new one? I'm hoping that the favorites and everything will transfer over so I don't have to repeat the setup on the new one. Same manufacturer and same program so I'm hoping......

Thanks much!!
Doug

Yes, everything will transfer. The 200 will have need a different profile set up with the filters, NAC, display and a few other additions and you can set that up now if you want. Go to tools and change to SDS200 and go from there. I have my 436, 100's and 200 all set up the same.

Outstanding!

I was thinking that both being Uniden's and using the same programming software that they would interchange one with the other.

Thanks much!!

Sentinel has a setting for target scanner, if u write to it, make sure its set for the sds scanner your transferring it too. After make sure that all your favorites lists are monitor on and or at least download on as u right click each list

The others have said it, but it bears repeating: Watch that "Target Model" setting like a hawk. Make sure you check it before you "Write To Scanner".
Otherwise yes, it works great. I loaded my SDS-100 with everything that was in my 436 with no trouble at all.

What month is it?
Pro tip..
Save your 436 profile as "436".
Go to tools and make the change to 200 then edit a new profile specifically for the 200 and then save it as "200".

Remember, among other things, the display is very customizable on the 200 and those settings are saved in it's profile.
The more changes you make, the more you want to save them. - And not lose them and have to re-do them.

Just to clarify:
All programmed favorites are common to all profiles, so you are just saving the different profiles, not any unique systems/depts/sites/TGs, GPS data, etc..
