• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

Hoping some of you have suggestions for a radio pouch that will live on a molle panel (preferrably M-81 woodland). I know there are lots of "tactical" radio pouches for the PRC 152 and 163 but both of those radios have different dimensions and PTT/button/ display areas. Is there an XG-100P specific tactical radio pouch out there?

Who has it in stock?
Reach out to NLT - they should be able to order it from Harris even if it's not showing as in stock on their site. When I purchased this one several months ago, there was a hiccup with the order and they offered to purchase new for $60 vs. the used one that was on their site.

Thanks! Some nice guy turned me on to it.
What antenna is that? Is it still available for purchase. I want to get a spare for my XG-100 as I know sooner or later the rubber going to start cracking and peeling on it.

Thanks for sharing. Do you mind telling me what the attachment hardware is on this pouch?
There are two D-rings and a nylon strap with a single snap on the back. The strap is approximately 4.5x1.5 inches, but there is a band sewn across that reduces the strap size to around 2.5 inches, which should play nice with Molle. Let me know if you need additional details. I tried to capture what I thought would be useful below.

The case I posted early in this thread has become unobtainium but at Dayton this year I found a great substitute from Wester Case Company. Their model 29 case fits well and is made of very thick Cordura with an adjustable bungie keeper. I buy a lot of cases from this company every year at Dayton and I was happy to find these. I think it ran about $18 which is way cheaper than any Harris branded case.

I'll give a thumbs up for Western Case. I've got several of their products, they're excellent.

Have been using BDS (Because Dying Sucks) Tactical pouches that were made for the Thales AN/PRC-148 MBITR......but like the Harris version shown above.

The antenna referenced, only covers VHF and UHF, not 700/800Mhz. It would not be a suitable replacement for the 9 inch wideband antenna that is usually used with the XG-100P, if 700/800Mhz coverage is a requirement.
