Does anyone know .. how high can I go with an XPR, specifically a 7580 .. before I have to "subscribe"....?
That was the oldest I could find there also. I have a 5580 with 2.50.XXX on it or something which from what I've read is older and apparently the upgrade path needs to happen in a specific order coming from something that old. I am not sure I understand Motorola's naming convention for firmware.I found it, however, it isn't giving me the option to download anything earlier than 2.22.....2.09 is what I need...
Ok thanks. Appreciate the info!after 2.5 they went to 2.06 etc.. motorola really buggered the firmware versions naming on gen 2 trbo originally.
Somehow I missed that in OP's original post...You may need an "e" model for Cap Max...
My non-e XPR7550 would disagree with that statement.Somehow I missed that in OP's original post...
Yes you need an e model for Cap Max
Well I'm at a loss then!My non-e XPR7550 would disagree with that statement.

Ok...this radio is 2.07....and its not showing me the cap max option
And where do you find 2.10? I've been all over Motorola's site and cannot find 2.10. I found the stuff from 2025 but I cannot find 2.10 there for anything. You need to go to 2.10 issued in 2019. This is the conversation release, after 2.10 you have to have a SUM entitlement. Then you can update to the latest M2025.03. Since you need to be able to affiliate with the Cap Max trunking Controller, this is something that you need to be working with your system admin to accomplish.
Of course not, there was no such thing as Cap Max at that time.
