It's not a continuation of the Zone/Channel line, as has been said many times. It is used for radio aliases/IDs but can be used to display your radio alias. Under Radio Wide there's a box where you can click Enable Radio Alias (or something like that) and enter anything up to 12 characters. That's what is displayed on that line.

You can also enable a softkey named MY ID that will allow you to toggle the Alias on and off from the keypad.

That would be a flash update.

The sombrero flash update is only available from the JSC. It is option Q999 - 'Jalisco1'.

Order from your rep, it is above price book.....

More than 2. It does one line for zone/channel, one line for radio alias, and two lines for menu/navigation/configuration functions.

You can take the little sticker off now. It's okay, you're not gonna break it.

Well, I just bought an XTS5000 800 meg radio, and the second line is displaying XTS5000 800. I cannot figure out where this is coming from. Can someone show me where to kill this in CPS? This is showing on conventional channels.

The "2nd line" is the "Radio Alias" feature, go to the "Radio Wide" tab an uncheck "Radio ID alias enable" in your Astro 25 portable CPS.
