Yaesu VX-7R lock-up after programming

I recently purchased a VX-7R new. AFter programming it with VX-7R Commander freeware, the radio will freeze completely after about 30 seconds. I have to remove the battery to turn it off. It will continue to freeze up after replacing the battery pack unless I do a full reset. The software says the radio was succesfully programmed. ANy thoughts on why it keeps locking up?

I have not had any problem with mine, but if you have an out ouf band frequency or the radio rejects the Mars/Cap or "freeband" it may corrupt the memory. You may want to look at your settings a little closer.
