Making a 10 element yagi for 2 metre work(no ssb). What would be a good material for the elements on a 1' pvc boom? Going to be about 30ft in the air so needs to be durable . Thanks.

You may want to try using some stainless steel threaded rods. Should work well and be easy to install with the threads taking standard stainless hardware to hold it in place. Don't forget to lock the nuts down using something to keep them from moving over time. Locktight, glue, or even some nail polish should do the trick.

I would use 3/16" dia aluminum rods like many commercially made 2m Yagi's. I would be more concerned with the 1" PVC boom sagging and unless you paint the PVC sunlight will take its toll after just a few years.

Like prcguy said, you might want to paint your PVC. I would recommend using a completely different material since PVC is notorious for degrading under UV light, but that's your choice and it may work well for you.
