The system is probably not yet in service as the license is only a month old. I am always suspicious of LTR LCNs that are in numerical order and using every spot (not skipping any LCNs. I am not saying that is can't be, just that I am doubtful that it is up and running. (there is still a pending change on the license - WQGU242)

I work with a guy who's a dispatcher at Yale PD, I'll ask him next time we work together.

Yale LTR

Hey guys-It's Rich from the Yale Rep. The system is brand new, but I understand that all of facilities and associated departments will be migrating over within six months. That's plumbing, heating, carpentry, custodial, grounds, parking/transit, etc. I have not heard if security or the museum security departments will be changing-I'll ask around. Our theater comms will stay on our FRS channels- 73, Flash

Looking for updated status on the system please.

I see you posted the following in the Wiki:

Does anyone have any updates on this system? We have freqs. but no tgs. I am too far away to hear it but I have a buddy who wants to program a scanner for them.

I am also interested in the Yale University Hospital operation.

Just a reminder...The Wiki is a great place to share information about radio systems and scanning topics. But the forums are better for questions and discussion. The forums get much more traffic from people who are close to the topic, so your questions are more likely to be answered. And, unless the Wiki article is categorized and linked, it will be very difficult for anyone to find it. Once a forum discussion brings out data about a system, then it should be added to the Wiki or the Database. Thanks.

I am well aware of that. Since no one on your thread has used the WIKI for any purpose related to Yale Univ. I started one.

I have seen the answer which says nothing is happening.

My friend works at Yale Univ Hospital Police and told me they were LTR. I guess that they licensed the channels for use and never bought a system.

Just checking if you are in the area is there any confirmation on what freq,(s) the Hospital Police are using?

As I said before just not near enough to the New Haven area to hear anything.

Not happening.

The hospital police are still using 462.4500 with a DPL, i forget the exact DPL, but i haven't heard anything about an LTR for the hospital, i know that the campus services use the LTR system in west haven and new haven, if i were still down there i would take my tablet and scanner and use my LTR software to get the TG's, i haven't been that way since xmas, but when i was there, i had the hospital police plugged in and it was active still

Yale West Campus (Orange/West Haven) is using the 900 Moto system that Bayer used when the facility was theirs. License was transferred to Yale right after Bayer left. For a while, they were using a few of the 900 freqs conventional but they TRS has been back in operation for a while. I haven't monitored it enough to figure out the uses of all the TG's.

Thanks everyone for your help. I got a reply from my friend that there are actually two different police departments. He is at the Yale University Hospital which is different then the Yale University police.

I programmed up the radio with the Freqs. listed for Yale Univ.

If anyone knows something that is not in the database I would appreciate it in the next day before he comes to get the radio.

They are police not security btw.

For clarification the University has a police dept.

The hospital no longer are considered or recognized as a police dept or police officers (even though many are officers in depts) they are armed securiy aka Protective Services, they currently still use 462.450 dpl 332.

whoops my bad Scott's correct, DPL 364 ,

the weird thing is i also get a ct of 136.5 also

It's a business freq, if you listen long enough with search on you'll probably find a few more PLs and DPLs. There are 16 other active licenses in CT for 462.450

This is actually Yale hospital im hearing on the pl and dpl, I orginally thought it was a scanner issue but the same result on 2 96's and a 2055. I'm in East Haven so its not like i am too close and just catching a strong signal, its weird.
