Good.

That article was pretty well written -- thanks for passing it along!

Now I wonder how Douglas County is coming along with their MPT-1327 system. Maybe this will serve as a wake-up call. (Although it sounds like they will keep VHF fire and law channels).

Well written, but not well understood. The author apparently doesn't understand digital and/or trunking.
He wrote, "But it relied on a digital technology called trunking, ..."

Sounds familiar

The mpt1327 system in Douglas County isn't going well. It's well past it's completion date and still awaits several sites to be installed. What is up and working does not sound even close to being dependable for any type of public safety personal to use. I here a lot of "are you there" and "try again, you're breaking up". It seem's almost like they are amazed when they can actually hear each other. No regular traffic is using the system, just techs and comm personal doing radio tests and control channels chattering away. Must have been a good sales pitch involved in this situation. Doesn't sound like any main emergency agencies are going to use it anyway.

Thanks Scootz for the news.

I hope Yamhill county will adopt Motorolla (Like Newberg). I noticed no one was held responsible. One of the County Comissioners who voted "yes" is on the committe to fix this. Yikes!!! I would move that person to Dundee for a bovine vecal matter transplant.
