I managed to get it working on win 10 by using windows subsystem for android and running the android app that way. I haven't had much time to play with it but the connection seemed stable and VOX worked as it should feeding the audio with a USB soundcard. Not sure if it will be possible to run multiple instances of the app that way but I'm going to keep trying. I'm afraid the days of running multiple copies may be coming to an end on a PC.

I did successfully get multiple mumble servers set up with my feeds but receiving multiple feeds at once on the listening side didn't work very well. Zello was nice because it would play a missed call after the active call if you were listening to multiple channels.

I agree 100%. Mumble isn't an alternative, but it's better than nothing. Zello can be run on multiple instances, and it doesn't affect yesterday's outage.

i have tested a backup system using WSA (Windows Subsystem for Android) which is less resource intensive than bluestacks. you can use Pac-man with WSA tools to create standalone android apps. you can also build app-cloner for android on the pc and then clone zello to have multiple instances on 1 machine.

although it works, it does seem to crash after around a day or 2.

as a side note, we could, if it came down to it, mirror a smartphone or even use a smartphones audio routed into a pc and vice-versa, maybe use an external mixer etc.

im trying to figure out a few options as i have multiple instances of zello for pc running 24/7
