Kendall County Info
All dispatching is done at the Boerne PD station. All law enforcement traffic is Boerne Primary or TGP 7001. Any ID, Driver's License checks and other non primary information is on Boerne Info or TGP 7002. When there is additional traffic for some incident or maybe a football game, etc all of that traffic is moved to an Ops Channel. Boerne Fire, EMS, and County Fire are all dispatched on Kendall Fire/EMS TGP 1028. However, since not everyone has a radio, the paging of these agencies is simulcast with the old conventional channel 155.400. There have been neuromas problems with this system so that is why you may hear the EMS people say they didn't get the page. As for the traffic that sounded like DEA, the County and the City of Boerne has formed a Drug Task Force, so you maybe hear some of that. The County also uses a channel they call Kendall. It is a TAC channel, and I believe it is TGP 7023. 200's are Fire Marshals, 300's are Boerne PD, 1100's are Kendall County, and 6600's are DPS operating in Kendall County. All Law Enforcement have an iPad that allows them to receive a written notice of the call or their traffic stop. Dispatch automatically runs the license number of the vehicle. Officers have the ability to run all numbers through their iPad unless they are out of cell phone range, then they use the Info Channel. MDT alarm means a want or stolen hit is recorded in the system. Most of the time it is due to like names. If it is a good hit the dispatcher will immediately contact the officer. All units are required to notify the dispatch if they use their lights and siren for answering a call. They do not do this on a traffic stop. I hope this helps clear up some of the previous threads on here.
