Can you capture some raw signal wav files from DSDPlus FL of the control channel and clear voice by any chance?

Probably not, I'm not sure how to do that with DSD+ and it is only in the testing stage so there are very few comms right now. I expect after testing all traffic will be encrypted. Feel free to DM me if you are able to teach me how to do that and I'll try.

Todays audio (two files) below, in case this is what you are asking for.

Pretty sure its just the 'R' key. If you can't get it though, I'm not going to worry about it too much. Thanks anyways.

Lots of new entries in the RR Database for the new Duke Energy system from across NC, while a good piece of them came from myself, I'd like to thank everyone from across the state who has taken their time to find them and submit them to the database. NC monitors are doing a great job mapping this out, thanks to all of you.

New encrypted voice on another NC system, I believe it is just testing and setup. Site 4.4 Auburn Church Rd Garner. Earlier we saw similar activity on site 46.46. Talkgroups seen include 2479, 16392 (both believed to be radio techs setting up system), 62001, 62002, 62016, and 64201. The 62xxx talkgroups seem to be nationwide as they have been seen in Ohio as well as NC.

I was in the Rock Hill/Charlotte area this weekend and was able to monitor three new sites, two in NC. They are Valdese in Burke Co and Hickory in Catawba County. These have been added to the database, along with Lancaster in SC.

Most sites seem to now be broadcasting neighbor site information, which provides clues to other sites that are, or will soon be, online. Some of these might be in SC.

If you can provide your full P25data file for the Duke NC/NC area, I'll create the Wiki pages for those two system IDs and will populate it with confirmed / nonconfirmed sites so that people can reference in the wiki what is confirmed / nonconfirmed and know what to look out for. The reason for asking for the P25Data is so that I could search the full file and find out what sites (that you monitored directly) are reported those sites above as neighbors/peers. That's very useful information to know. For instance, I could search your P25data file for 73.73 and find out what all confirmed sites are listing 73.73 as a neighbor. Ditto with 89.89, 62.62, etc.

Thanks

Mike

According to what you posted above and the submission recently made:

Code:
3D4-21.21 854.275
3D4-26.26 855.900
3D4-31.31 857.8625 neighbor of 42.42
3D4-36.36 neighbor of 9.9, 37.37
3D4-41.41 858.3125
3D4-44.44 neighbor of 42.42
3D4-56.56 857.735
3D4-62.62 855.9125 neighbor of 42.42
3D4-71.71 856.3375 neighbor of 9.9
3D4-73.73 856.35
3D4-89.89 854.5625

You should have entries for the CC freq of 3D4-36.36 and 3D4-44.44 in your P25data file. And for the sites above that don't list "neighbor of", your P25data file is going to contain at least one site (and in some cases more) that list 21.21, 26.26, 41.41, 56.56, 73.73 and 89.89 as neighbors. All very useful information.

And Im assuming all of those Site ID/CC freq combos you listed are from the 3D4 system ID (you didn't specify).

This is correct. I omitted some sites in that list that I really didn't have any idea of a potential location. Duke is reusing frequencies across many sites, so a given frequency pops up in multiple licenses. Being near the border of NC and SC means that I'm not always sure which state a site might be in.

I have a list of 3D4 sites with CCs and neighbors. If you want to create a wiki page for 3D4, I'll populate it with what I have so far and we can link to it from both NC and SC wiki pages.

If a Wiki is created for NC/SC Duke Energy sites, I think it would be a good idea to include 397 and 3D4 as some overlap does occur with them.

I created a wiki page: Duke Energy P25 - 91F14:397 and 91F14:3D4 - Carolinas Site Research - The RadioReference Wiki

Only the CCs and Neighbors should be populated, and then guesses made off of both of those.

For some there are just too many options without narrowing it down with further neighbor info or direct monitoring.

For instance: 3D4-71.71 856.3375 neighbor of 9.9

Could be:

Gaffney
Blacksburg
Lowesville
Wilksboro

There are other licenses with 856.3375 on them, but they are too far away to be a neighbor of 3D4-9.9.

And there just isn't enough space to add all four possibilities to 3D4-71.71 without making it look like total trash.

This is why going through the P25data file and figuring out every site that lists a particular site ID as a neighbor is needed.

Any particular reason why you don't want to share the Duke portion of your P25data? The more people that have as much of the information as possible, the more likely the proper sites are going to be determined.

Thank you @mtindor, you continue to do an amazing job helping everyone from Ohio to Florida map out this system! As he mentioned, we are only interested in the 91F14 portion of the P25data file from DSD+ FL to help ensure all information is entered/shared correctly. Hope people will share and continue to help us build out this system.

Ditto. You've made road trips and taken your laptop on work trips just to capture sites. I've never done either of those.

New site found (NOT CONFIRMED) in 397. Was able to pick up Site 60-60 tonight and saw new neighbor listed, 397-55.55 with a CC of 857.8875. Based on location I am thinking it will be the Rocky Mount, Nash County, site under license WRUV432.

Thanks to @lwvmobile and his newest version of DSD-FME, it looks like the sites in system 397 are still in the setup/testing phase, almost all hits have been from TELE radio IDs which are believed to be the Duke Telecommunications (radio techs).

Hey all, we could use some help from anyone using DSD+FL in Alamance and Guilford Counties tracking down a new site for Duke Energy's Harris P25 Phase II system (NOTE: scanners can not pickup these sites as they use a Phase II control channel). This is a new system and it is unlikely you'll hear voice traffic on it at this time. We just need someone to run the frequencies below, and if received post the information logged in your DSDPlus.P25data file for the sites. The site found was:

Network: 91F14.3D4, Site: 15.15 NAC=00F

Neighbor: 91F14.3D4-13.13
Neighbor: 91F14.3D4-39.39 ; Hillsborough
Neighbor: 91F14.3D4-58.58

Channel 8-620: 854.8875-1 SCC
Channel 8-1154: 858.225-1 CC
Channel 8-1368: 859.5625-1 SCC

And here is what we are looking for confirmation and information from:

3D4-13.13, Channel 8-596: 854.7375 CC
BURLINGTON OPS CENTER, Burlington, NC (Alamance)

and

3D4-58.58, Channel 8-640: 855.0125 CC, which is either:
GREENSBORO 800 Mhz Repeater, 3121 HIGH POINT RD, Greensboro NC (Guildford), WNAJ727/ + pending license
OR
GREENSBORO Old Randleman Rd Repeater, 5335 Old Randleman Rd, Greensboro NC (Guilford), WPZS946 / + pending license

It looks like 3D4-38.38 is probably High Point NC (1751 Bethel Dr) license WNAJ727, it'd be great if someone in or near High Point could check 854.4875 and provide the DSD+ P25 data
