Agreed, in the four visits (recently) that I was at the airport for I did not hear those being used, which is why I was asking about P25.

Rich - thanks for that. Did it sound like regular repeater ops or more like a phone call where both sides were active at same time (aka duplex operations) ?

When POTUS came to Tampa on 10/29, All those above channels were used plus Sierra 166.4000 I believe ? I did hear some radio checks in the clear on Oscar . The key to monitoring local operations is find the interop channels between agencies, that way everybody is on the same channel(s). Most visits will use multiple local agengcies for traffic control etc.

The Y/Z is a duplex phone patch between Potus vehicle and AF1. 162.6875 is the vehicle side/171.2875 the a/c side; P25 fully encrypted.

166.400 is USSS Golf/Gulf; Sierra (sometimes is called Alpha) is 165.5125 WHCA.
