Michigan PS radio
There are enough cities and county systems around me with conventional radios that I bought a scanner and dedicated it to analog VHF/UHF use in SE Michigan. Yes, they probably have "black boxes" that tie them to the statewide system, but that is not really interoperability. I talked to a councilman in one city, and their reason was the yearly per mike cost of the MPSCS radios. They moved to a UHF NXDEN system with a patch to the state. I was also told that the salesman told them they had to go digital due to the new rules, so Motorola is not the only one bending the truth in spreading the expensive changes.
