    Uniden 25% off coupon

Since I started this thread and dragged my feet till the code expired, I will post an update. I emailed Uniden asking them if they could process an order with the coupon even though it had expired. I just received a response from them with an order # and amount. ($426.38) I believe the order #...

There was no mention of that in the email I received. Hopefully it lasts awhile. :)

    Uniden 25% off coupon

This seems like a pretty good deal to me, but I haven't made my purchase yet. Uniden sent me an email with a 25% off coupon from their store. (www.unidendirect.com) I went to the site and selected the 396 to see how much of a discount it would be. Regular Uniden Price: $544.50 25% off coupon ...

    A High Resolution Radar Site>>

$10/mo is a steep fee?? For everything you get for that, it's well worth it. No one else will give you lightning data in addition to radar and all the other placefiles.

    Sector Maps of ATC boundaries

No, I'm looking for a text/CSV file that has the sector areas listed as lat/long. I was hoping the Flight Explorer software might have this in a file somewhere, but it appears that's all integrated into the executable.

    Sector Maps of ATC boundaries

Not to hijack the thread here, but does anyone have the ARTCC areas in lat/long format? I'd like to import that into another program without having to use the demo of Flight Explorer. Thanks!

[INDIANA] Law would require weather radios

A lot of wx radios also have an external speaker or external accessory jack that you hook up to a flashing light, siren, flood light, etc.

    Proposed HF NET for radioreference

I could do 10m as well. (that's the only antenna I have up right now that doesn't require a tuner) ;) I'm currently trying to get my car equipped with an HF setup, but the trunk mount that I bought isn't supportive enough for the Hustler deal. So I'm not sure what I'm going to do. It's either...

    Weather Service Radio Listening

Yet you couldn't pull in WXJ-76 in Champaign? ;) I occasionally will thumb through the wx radio frequencies, though my scanner is hooked up to a dual band ham antenna so there's alot of missed action.

    2m/70cm skip

I was picking up 443.750 pl114.8 this morning in Champaign, IL. (EN50) A quick lookup on the repeater list shows that this is a repeater in Chicago, IL. Note that I was mobile in town picking this up all the way to work, so not too shabby. I was also hearing another repeater which I believe is...

Were these actually cellular phones I heard

Yeah I hear you man.. Some people here just have nothing else better to do than to play Mr. Policeman with the rest of us. It really irks me that you asked such a simple and decent question, yet it turned into a 'lets bash these guys' topic. People like this make me want to sell my scanner and...

Were these actually cellular phones I heard

There's also the possibility you were hearing nearby 900mhz cordless phones too. I used to scan this range at college and hear some interesting conversations. ;) Sometimes you can pick up the base on one freq and then the handset on a different freq. Check out the freqs here...
