Hello, I have the cheapy uv5rs and the kguv8d. Both have crappy s meters. I need a low end radio with a good s meter.. what would you recommend? I was told yaesu has really good meters... Would the yaesu ft65r work? Does it have a good meter? It's $90 prior tax.

I am using the Yaesu FT-65 in Priority Channel Scanning mode so that it monitors my existing channel and every 5 seconds checks for transmissions on the 'priority' channel. Does any one know how this 5 second period can be shortened / adjusted please ?

I have several vx-2's and one vx-3r. I can use VX-2 commander to program 15x.3175 no issues. works great. With Chirp and the VX-3R It will not let me enter that channel at all. Gives me an error about the 2.5 tuning step not supported. Why does it work on the vx2 and not the vx3??? Thanks, Rick
