They also make this too, apparently-

Note the "powered by SDRplay" on it. Let's see what SDRplay has to say-

"If it says “from China” avoid – there are no genuine international resellers from China that we know of, apart from MyHamPlace who sell within China."

Nah. I'd pass. Points for having an antenna port for multiple bands though. Looks cool but I wouldn't trust it

I get paranoid about getting a virus or other malware from no name electronics myself, especially when it comes to stuff that plugs into my PC or phone. Let us know how it goes

Maybe I am lucky but I have been buying from the Chimneys for many years without a single incident. I think if they were going to spend money to subvert my computer for nefarious purposes. They would find it to be a bad investment.

I was just joking. Maybe you just need the proper USB driver. Check their website, maybe you can download it. Good luck!

To be fair as soon as it arrived I expected it to be D.O.A. The package was the standard China smashed box. That was expected and not a concern. The concerns started after opening the box to find the p.c.b. was in a standard Ziplock bag. I thought right then that unless this thing is impervious to static and X-ray it was dun.
It is suppose to run in SDRSharp as an RSP1 but when plug into the usb it is not seen at all, not even an unknown device or usb fault.
I have not given up hope on this model and there appears to be a lot of people selling them so I will give it another try from another seller in the next couple of weeks. If anyone is interested
I found this one on AlieExpress for $21 after shipping.
As I am an old analog guy and certainly not a computer wiz. If anyone gets involved with one of this type os similar. I would like to hear how it is going!

Does that mean that it now works?

Also, when you study the PCB, does it appear that the USB functionality is embedded within the micro, or is there a stand-alone USB bridge chip?

There are perhaps four main USB bridge chips in common use, and several of them are pretty finicky about their driver.
You would hate to write off the board as a paperweight if it was only a driver issue.

Yes it is working sort of.
I have not used the SDRuno program before this. It will take some time before I can say much as to overall performance.
I have not figured out how to select antenna ports or if I can? If not I hope and suspect someone will eventually write a plug in. I think for the price this could be a big thing. For now it is using the 50 to 120MHZ port so Fm is about all I have for now to compare. My HackRf1 was static struck so all I can do is go by how I remember things. This new radio is much more sensitive with very few spurs appearing as signals and no mirroring of signals. It appears to have a stand alone USB chip but i do not see one.
In the first couple of trials I was able to clearly receive FM stations that the hack or RTLsdr could not even detect.
Here is a sight with more information and sells this P.C.B. for $21
That is it for now it is 3:30 AM and past my bed time.

They are directly controlled from the MSI chip depending of the monitored frequency and I don't know why they choose to not use the 250-400MHz filter input of the chip, omitting that frequency band.

Thank you for the reply. I have not had a chance to play with this too much but it appears to be deaf as a stump on anything outside of the 50 to 120MHZ band. I will report back with further results as I learn more.

It switches to other antenna ports depending of the frequency and the filters are simple 2 pole ones so should be working ok. My dongle MSI seem to have the exact same filter ranges but sensitivity seems to vary depending of the frequency.
