On Friday February 16th, 2007 I was traveling East on Interstate 80 in North Central / North West PA and was scanning around on my Yaesu FT-8900 when all of a sudden I came across a weird CW Message. This kept up for at least 1/2 hour. The frequency was 149.910 MHZ and seemed to be very very strong.
It was definently CW and seemed to be sent at 30WPM +.... At the end of transmission it sent a message of BK BK BK. Another station station answered almost instantaneously and you could tell the difference in the signal, the second one was much louder than the first.
I have looked online and everything seems to point to Satellites, however I am wondering why CW would be used...
