I was doing a lil searching, and hit upon this freq 155.3175, and every transmission sounds like digital with no dg showing up on the PRO-96.... and when in CT or DC no tone... Closest I can find is Nevada County... Anyone care to shed a lil light on this.. Do they use encryption, or some from of digital the 96 won't decode?

Its definitely digital..... Anyone down that way know if its P-25, or another digital format, I may just be too far off to decode it. Its licensed to the SO

milf, I think the 4K emission code is NEXEDGE (or however it's spelled). I maybe wrong but I believe I saw that emission reference somewhere before. Just a thought frm Bama Land.

Perhaps it's MOTOTrbo. There seems to be a sale of that format all over Arkansas, recently.

NXDN is Nexedge.. not sure what the MotoTRBO format is.. and isn't MotoTRBO trunking?

Anyone in the Nevada County area that can monitor and let us know if the old analog VHF is still used please do so..
Who needs to encrypt when you can go NXDN.. just as effective at keeping scanners off your system lol... At least for now. Though I don't understand why they would not go P-25.... NexEdge cheaper????
