Programmed is one thing, legal is another.

Commercial Equipment (Part 90) is legal for GMRS if you follow all other restrictions.

It is not legal for FRS because of the requirement for non-removable antennas, limited power, 2.5 kHz deviation, and a few other regulations. (Specifically that it is NOT type accepted/approved)

i hope every pearson in the field isnt given one of these. that number would just be ginormus! im thinking they probably give one to every group? how big are these ususally?
