Here is the radio console install of my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. Radios are Kenwood TK-5710, TK-890, TK-880H, TK-980, Uniden 996XT, 996T, Kenwood D700. The rear deck has a Panasonic Toughbook CF-29, Mobile Threat Net and the RF deck for the D700. I also have an old BC-895 under the rear seat for data piped to the PC. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse and the monitor in a 12V Magnavox television.

Do I get the hint you like Kenwood? Looks good!

You better hurry and post some outside pictures for the antenna crowd. :)

I'll 2nd that motion !! Antenna pics please, LOL. BTW, awesome install and a good choice of radios. Those Kenwoods are solid radios. Used some of the same ones in the past.

Very nice...based on your screen name and the channel on the 890, I now know the "crowd" you hang with. Good group of guys, enjoy Mr. 425 when he's all riled up on an incident. Heck I think I have even heard you on the radio when you make it to the basin. (I'm not affiliated but enjoy monitoring the guys)

Keep up the good work and as others have noted, where's the antenna farm??? ; )

He hails from Southern California so considering the amount of counties we have, it's a safe bet he won't miss any (fire) traffic.

SEVEN radios in one vehicle? You MUST be from a very large metropolitan area to have enough to listen to!

This is one of my favorite set ups. I wish I had room in my vehicle for a center console. I count 9 speakers and only 7 radios/scanners. What are the extra ones for?

The data from the rear scanner... think Hamcom interface. As for the speakers, the D700 uses 2 speakers and the single speaker on the drivers side in the front is from the Toughbook. Its handy for the trun by turn directions when using Nroute/GPS. So far I am very happy with my set up. For both scanners, I use Proscan. Thats a fantastic program and I can run 2 instances and keep them up on my screen all the time I am monitoring. At a glance I know what freq and department is yakking. When I am in Los Angeles, I have all radios working at the same time. When an incident kicks off and its a multi-agency response it gets pretty confusing. Having the Proscan windows on the screen really helps. Ill try to get some screen shots posted so you can see what I am talking about. I will also get some antenna shots up too.

Any chance you could post some well-lit closeups of the details of the LCD mounting post? I'm trying to figure out how to put a laptop rack in my Land Rover without screwing things up too much...
