Sussex Coast. JO00
Conditions ended up being disappointing after the excellent TEP/F2
earlier. The ZS6 beacon peaked a real S9 before I could record it and
remained audible for over thirty minutes. Surprisingly there was no
reception of Kenyan TV on E2 even though reports were widespread across
Central Europe to similar latitudes.

My tentative log of Kyrgyz Radio 1 is based on SW schedules and
supporting evidence due to 4010kHz not propagating here and there being
no web stream to check for //. No idea what the spur is on 40.925 but
appears to be WFM due to the HF response of the audio.

Two days worth of logs from Sussex, JO00

The last two days have seen much quieter conditions as the SFI drops away but also a lot of previously unheard users, maybe open to an area I don't normally receive? I wonder if this was the final period of reasonable conditions to the US this cycle? Springtime has been poor for the last two years and I'm not optimistic about next autumn.

I think 40.575 is Danish, it appeared at the same time 6m Es spots were showing from around here to the Faroes, it's not one I've heard before.

31.76 146.2 is quite a regular here, I think they might be a maintenance crew but the audio input sounds as if it's IP based and with very low rate encoding. I've tried to improve the audio as best I can but it's almost unreadable.

LOW Band freq list excel file

i have been dedicating a uniden 436HP in discovery mode to various areas of lowband, usually 4-5mhz spread at a time. ive spent the most time scanning 29-34Mhz connected to a 10 meter vertical.

some of the other older recordings indicated were done with a pocket recorder next to the radio speaker.

a bit of info about the google sheets excel file.
if you see a yellow cell with a number it means that recording info has been counted and confirmed
if you see a X, that just means some amount of audio exists, but i havent gone in and counted.
if theres no X or number, its likely that i dont have any audio for it that year or yet (or i havent searched my db specifically)

using google sheets is a great way to sort and organize all your freq info, plus you can share the file with a link like i did and you can set to view or edit. i have a group of files that go up to 900mhz. its how i keep track of alot of my uniden discovery files. there is plenty more discovery files i have yet to even review going back to 2015 so its kindof like being an archaeologist digging thru the layers of the earth, in this case the layers are the years. i hope to someday have a website with all this audio able to be listened to to preserve history when scanning is a thing of the past.
