My whole reason for getting the 3000 and learning about the pl tones was because the scanner i had sucked at certain tracks. Watkins Glen especially. They'd be talking and id miss half of the conversations. The best thing i read to do was to get something that supported the tones making it more sensitive to that frequency and only that frequency.
I'd really just like directions on how to find them on the RE3000, that what im looking for right now.

Cold passes are the best.

Ill try playing around with the 3000 again today and see if i can get the tones off of it.

I'm very new at this but I took information from the first post in this thread, the 2016 post and Speedway Digest to come up with a generic CSV for CHIRP with as many of the tones as I could find from these sources. I didn't program Fox because I heard that they basically have stopped broadcasting for scanners. It also seems that no one has NBC's frequency so that is not there either. If anyone goes to future races and wants to update this by all means please do so.

I have to look at the re3000 its deep into the menus. Radio is best programmed trackside OTA. I think OTA is 450.00 or 460.000 (going on memory)

"RE3000(2) Nascar/Indy use,
BR330(2), Sportcat230(2) LocalTracks and Tracks that use VHF(dirt/outlaws)
Baofeng for Ham and Use with Local Teams I have friends on

I quit using non pl/dpl radios after hearing a annoying local pager broadcasting on same channel as a driver. PL_DPL is best.

I get weekend Cold Passes every year at Homestead Miami Speedway, my local track. But after spending hours each day in the garage and Hot sun, I head up to my Box Seats above the start finish line, fire up my FanVision and watch the race each day. The only way to fly. I do bring my regular scanners also to listen to local police and race track related channels. My 2 meter comes in handy too during the weekend.

The Boyer and Larsen systems look like repeaters, that's why you have the 5 MHz difference between the 2 freqs. Use the lower one for repeater out. I don't see a reason for a repeater on an oval.

The TV and radio freqs usually change race to race, the 450-451 and 455-456 range is remote pick up for broadcasters. Since local stations have fixed licenses the SBE (society of broadcast engineers) coordinator assigns freqs to the temp users.

There are no repeaters in drivers systems. Its all simplex. You see the split on a few radios and when teams have xfinity you will see those as backup and primary also. Racing Electronics has a block of frequencies they utilize.

Did anyone ever get any xfinity frequencies? Going to some upcoming races and having a hard time finding 2018 frequencies. Thank you
