On Tuesday during the severe flooding event in the St. Louis city, county and St. Charles County area there was an electrical fire at the city's main postal distribution center downtown. Apparently is has more than one basement and the fire crews knew comms would be difficult.

A batt chief and captain decided all crews needed to switch to "Ch 15" on their radios. There is no listing in the database specifically for Ch 15. It could be a rouge repeater channel or maybe they have a simplex channel for such events.

Would anyone have an idea what frequencies or system they may have used? Thanks in advance.

It's a repeater but I'm not sure if it's a vehicle repeater that is always on or activated or what.

just checked, 15 is for DVRS, what the input frequency is I have no idea, and 16 is a RIC talkgroup.

I thought I read here some time ago that there was going to be a new site coming to Conway, MO in southern Laclede Co. Does anyone have info as to a time frame for it to be in-service? Thanks.

Couple new talk groups noted on Zone 4 this week. Heard some testing type voice traffic a few days ago, nothing else since then. Looking at where these talk groups fall in line, they appear to be Greene Co SO talk groups.

40721
40722
40723

It appears by looking at UniTrunker data that 40721 operates as an Emergency channel. No other radio affils to these talk groups other than radio techs.

Might keep an ear out for these if you monitor Zone 4.

The Conway site may be winter at the earliest. Everything is ready to go just waiting on the routers which are back ordered.
