Ye, the three channel teams were from RE. In general over the years I've hit 3 or four races. The codes from the spring Richmond and Martinsville don't change much. But by Dover, and again in the fall, some have changed even again. I've had the BC125AT about 5 years. Before that I never heard of squelch codes. Used an old radio shack 100 ch. I used to preprogram by the internet, and then buy a sheet for 5 bucks at the track. I'm new to the SC230 just bought it off ebay, and only used it twice so far. I really think I like the 125 better than the other, maybe I'm just better at using it though. This is a fantastic post JCar24! Thank you for verifying frequencies and searching for squelch codes. Comparing to my spreadsheets, I noticed a several teams changed codes compared to my last Nascar race 2 years ago and a few drivers seem to change every year.
For the Cup list, I noticed the 2, 12, and 48 have an extra radio frequency, was this from a Racing Electronics list?
You should be able to hear just about everything if you can see the speedway from your house. Lucky you. As they say location is everything. Enjoy your YouTube channel BTW. Happy Ham.I just purchased an SDS200 and I can literally SEE Auto Club Speedway (California) from my house -
What kind of comms should I be able to hear? (Pit crews, security, etc??)
Thank you for confirming. I personally have several SC230s that I've been using for 6 years. Jamie Little and other FOX reporters still use that scanner so there must be a reason the professionals choose the SC230 over the Racing Electronics RE1000. I prefer the ability to program multiple frequencies to a Car Number with ArcSport in Race mode rather than program one frequency to a Channel Number. Also the scanner System feature makes it easy to switch between racing series without having to resort to tricks such as placing Xfinity series car #2 to Channel 102 to separate from Cup or Indycar frequencies. Useful at Indianapolis when all three racing series are on track at the same weekend.Ye, the three channel teams were from RE. In general over the years I've hit 3 or four races. Unfortunately, Auto Club Speedway is in the middle of tentative reconstruction and will not hold a professional race until 2025 at the earliest. The main comms of interest in open analog between 450.0000-470.0000 would be the NASCAR officials and driver to pit crew communication.I just purchased an SDS200 and I can literally SEE Auto Club Speedway (California) from my house -

I didnt even know they were doing any construction - thank you.Unfortunately, Auto Club Speedway is in the middle of tentative reconstruction and will not hold a professional race until 2025 at the earliest. I think that's one of the reasons they have that race at LA Coliseum.I didn't even know they were doing any construction - thank you.
I have updated the WIKI with your Cup frequencies and tones. Great work!!I was at Richmond this weekend. Got my old SC230 programed. Here are Nascar Cup frequencies with codes for the SC230, a spread sheet, and pdf.
I did this in the camper Saturday night to make a
list for some friends. I just got home, I'll do Nextel and Whelen modifieds sometime tomorrow and post them up.
I'm a happy ham I'm not one of those "sad" ones Randy!I didnt even know they were doing any construction - thank you.
Lol for s and grins how many 230s and or 330s do u own -Thank you for confirming. I personally have several SC230s that I've been using for 6 years. Thanks for posting the whelens that's a dif one to find unless you get it from someone that's attended oneXfinity and Whelen Modifieds. SC230 file arc sport lt, pdf. and spread sheet.
I had a group of us at the races, my son used the BC125at with my home brew (speedway digest) with squelch set to search. He really only needed to set the code on two or three cars for both Cup and Xfinity races. Everything else was fine. My buddy with a ham radio was jealous of those of with scanners. We found a couple of different TV frequencies, one with Director input during the commercials, and one with communication with pit reporters and cameramen. My son programed the whelen race on the fly, for practice. I'm curious to compare it to the preprogramed sc230. When my son mails the BC125AT back to me I'll let you know what they were. All in all it was a fun weekend. I hope the files help some people out.

Edit. My son's two friends rented the RE3000 with two headsets. The RE3000 is louder with one headset connected than the
SC230. I had an amplifier with me but didn't need it. My BC125AT is has an "audio boost" that you can buy on the internet, it is every bit as loud as the RE3000. With a stock BC125AT I would suggest carrying an amplifier just in case.
This track is still using a uhf ltr system(security safety etc) The usual race scanners won't track ltr so plan accordinglysomewhat bump.
here's a thing I want to know,
The NASCAR Craftsmen truck series and ARCA is coming back to the Milwaukee Mile on August 27th, 2023.
are the freq's the same for officials in every race?
what should I be on the lookout for?
In reality nothing has started. Some basic info here - https://www.nascar.com/westI didnt even know they were doing any construction - thank you.
