I will be attending the IMSA Races at Laguna Seca Raceway in a couple Weeks and should have some Updates for the Weathertech and Michelin Series. I will be generating Uniden SC-200, SC-230 and BC125 Files while down there. If anybody on the Forum is also attending, let me know. One Question, I currently do not have access to Post or Download the files here on the Forum. At what Point will I be able to have the Access?
Thx,
BD

Yeah, I check it Weekly for anything new and it's always a great resource. I also frequent Great Lakes Frequencies and have sent them some Info and was a long time Contributor to Racescanners.com when they covered Numerous Series over the years including the first F1 Race at Indy in 2000. Things have Changed quite a bit over the Years.

Attached are the IMSA WeatherTech and Michelin Pilot Series Frequencies Collected at Laguna Seca with BC125AT, SC230 and SC200 Files. The BC125AT and SC230 Files are in Uniden and Butel ARC Formats and the SC200 is only in the Butel ARC Formats. There are also Frequency Lists and Channel Layout Lists for the BC125AT and the SC200. The BC125AT and SC230 also contain the Latest Indycar and NXT Frequency Updates courtesy of TheMann00 and Twin Power Scanners Data with Thanks for keeping all of us Updated.
A couple Notes on the IMSA Series:
The WTSCC Frequencies are pretty complete and were in use at Laguna Seca. Some of the MRTC Re-Transmission Signals were pretty poor even with a Clear Line of Sight to the Pits. The Rahal Team did not Broadcast until Qualifying and was one of the Poor Quality Signals and the Corvette Team didn't seem to be Transmitting too much the whole Weekend and the Quality was also Poor on their Re-Transmission.
A number of New MPC Frequencies were Collected but I did not quite get all of the Cars Participating but the List is pretty full. The MPC Series is Featured at Mid-Ohio this Weekend. Hopefully there will be some Feedback and a couple more Frequencies to add to the List. Happy Scanning...

Heading for Imsa this weekend.
That would be nice if I could. I went to R.A. years ago, with a good Friend that attends every year, for the Combination ALMS/Grand Am Weekend before both Series Merged. Lots of Racing that Weekend. I will be attending the Upcoming Indycar/NXT/USF PRO2000/USF2000/USF Juniors Weekend here in Portland OR. on Aug. 22-25.

If imsa wasn't a supporting race at a ra event I had been at . I believe this may be my 1st. I do not think I've seen the series.

If only the lists were accurate I've seen multiple empty spots for frequencies. For example Skip Barber Car driven by Ken Fukuda and Ross Chastain isn't listed.

And the ota update change

The 16 was one of the few Cars I was unable to find at Laguna Seca and I am also surprised the R.E. List have not Updated over the last few Races. Hopefully you found a couple more to add to the List. The WTSCC list should be pretty complete. Huge Track, Lots of Walking, hope you are enjoying your Trip and the Chiggers.

I'm fairly certain to say that Imsa has digital channel/s patched to analog similar to Nascar setup. The analog rebroadcast has those hints of digital to them the audio etc. I'm guessing there patched or rebroadcast but didn't get to confirm this with radio provider. I don't know what Racing Radios and Racingelectronics all do and who's primary radio folks

The Re-Transmission Qualities do vary and at a Track like R.A. it may not be possible to hear them on the far side of the Track. Some of them were Questionable at Laguna Seca and I was overlooking the Pit Complex with Clear Line of Sight. Jim Hampton always Recommends a Digital Capable Radio as more Teams are switching over. I only have Analog at the moment. It would have been nice to have an SDS-100, like erikk1840 has, when the Formula E was here last month. The Series will not be returning to Portland next Year so I won't need it for that. I have been considering getting the SDS-100 but I believe that my Local Law Enforcement is one of the only Encrypted Transmissions in WA. State, Clark County. If IMSA does return to Portland, it might justify getting one. Watching the Race now on Peacock... Enjoy

Slightly off topic as it was for Nascar at RoadAmerica. Local teams (Cup) purchased some paint poles at hardware stores and used them at RA. Had major reception issues. In the Lions Club hill spotter stands they had multiple tall paint poles. One team forgot there paint pole and left it at track..The spotter my friend knows said keep it. I joked if u come back to RA I'll bring it lol. One team at RA literally had a handheld radio at top of the pole. If I had tried that my radio would have broke.

I think there is a real mix of suppliers (Racing Radios, Racing Electronics, MRTC) and most if not all the native comms are NXDN or DMR digital. They are rebroadcast on a low power analog channel and only covers the car channel. With a digital scanner and the right frequencies loaded you'll get the car and the pit channels, the latter is often the most interesting to listen to.

Formula E is fully digital. In fact the car-pit link isnt even a traditional VHF or UHF radio link at all, uses similar tech to F1: F1 2023 What you can hear is a low power 'garage repeater' link that extends their IP-based intercom system over a VHF link to/from the mechanics Nexedge radios.

I'm going to IMSA Indy and started down the path of just creating my own bc125at_ss file to load onto my scanner based on IMSA Weathertech - The RadioReference Wiki but found this post and was wondering if there's anyway to get that file hosted somewhere not on this site. My accounts to new and doesn't have enough posts (I original signed up to download this and the indycar files) and honestly don't think I'd really interact with anything here expect threads like this. I totally understand if I can't get the file hosted else where and can continue to build my own file but figured I'd at least ask.
