To expound on what this is exactly (and it *IS* Orange County, California South Freeway Service Patrol, WPYP239), this is a service operated jointly by the California Highway Patrol, Orange County Transportation Agency, and the County of Orange that provides limited "road rescue" services (think extremely limited AAA) for breakdowns on the freeway. The service is regularly bid out to qualified local towing agencies, so everyone gets a chance. They'll give you a bit of gas, a jump start, or tow you off the freeway to a side street so you can arrange your own tow. They'll also clear accidents in the same way. One thing to note with the two Orange County FSP frequencies is that the station CW identifiers do not match the actual WPYP239 callsign, apparently at some point things expired and had to be re-licensed. Whoops! They also use DTMF unit identification on their mobile units.

I can confirm it, as I've heard it myself from the parking lot of the mall next to the gravel yard. However it is in Wrentham, not Walpole. The main office is in Walpole, but the actual operation is in Wrentham.
