I see this in the database for the fire company in Somerset PA - a fairly new license - maybe just a patch from 155.175 and local use when needed.

Interesting... I'd bet that's what I heard, they probably just re-licensed the existing equipment and turned it back on (considering you can't buy a VHF-lowband base station in 33MHz anymore). There would be no reason to change the PL. This will bear some additional attention in the list.

Note 1: Database shows 37.260/136.5 as CDFA. I've never heard them before. Anyone able to verify?

Note 2: Was able to confirm this one with the FCC database based off of locations the users were giving. Sounded like public works snow plow operations along several roadways and townships within Ashtabula County, OH, who is licensed on this frequency for simplex operations, which is what this sounded like. Caught both sides of the conversation as well.

37.60 is the convex lowband switching channel all utilities and power generation in new england are on this frequency

Convex normally uses 123.0 systemwide, which is why the 192.8 tone made it seem like it may not be local, but I have confirmed it's used with the odd PL in Hartford for some reason. Eversource officially refers to the channel as "Command & Control".

Out of curiosity, are any fire departments still dispatching on low band? Almost everything I'm hearing is a patched system. In other words, all communications takes place on a VHF, UHF, or 700/800 repeater (maybe trunked) system and the audio is rebroadcast on 33 or 46 MHz legacy fire channels, possibly for pager activation purposes. I'm hearing the mobiles at full quieting, repeater hang time, and the click-clack of some old school voter systems in the audio. Any stand-alone low band fire systems still in operation?

I believe all of the Windham Co, CT (Quinnebaug Valley Emergency Communications) stuff and the Southwestern New Hampshire Fire Mutual Aid systems are all lowband. Mohegan Sun is still lowband, Foxwoods is still lowband... Checking, watch for an edit.

OK, back. SWNH Mutual Aid simulcasts but doesn't dispatch on lowband. QVEC does though.

West Milford, NJ is pretty much all lowband - police and fire.
