Kinda new to listening to this area of freq, ? I think it is 292.150 that is what is on the
SDR but I have to tune to 135 to hear it ...sounds like traffic control giving flight level
saying American, Delta , Washington a few times...really new to me kinda HF is my

292.15 is Calverton NY RCAG (Remote Center Air/Ground)
Basically Air Traffic Control for Boston Center

Glad to help. That's what the forum is for. But yes, usually if you go to the Database tab and put it in the search box, it will show up.

As to hearing "Washington" this is probably the Boston Center controller handing the aircraft to Washington Center. Something like "contact Washington on 133.12(5)". According to Airscans North East High chart it appears Boston Center ZBW33 SARDI hands-off southwest traffic to Washington Center ZDC59 SEI-H. Calverton RCAG transmitter 292.150 UHF and 135.800 VHF.

As to hearing "Washington" this is probably the Boston Center controller handing the aircraft to Washington Center. Something like "contact Washington on 133.125". According to Airscans North East High chart it appears Boston Center ZBW33 SARDI hands-off southwest traffic to Washington Center ZDC59 SEI-H. Calverton RCAG transmitter 292.150 UHF and 135.800 VHF.

I kinda just strayed up there I never listen in that area , I was just checking
out all the Pirates 250-270 and just kept tuning when I came upon 292 but

225 ~ 380Mhz is dedicated to FAA use. Commonly known as Military Air UHF, it's where most of the military aircraft communications take place. Air Traffic controllers have paired frequencies to use, one VHF (118 ~ 136Mhz) and one UHF (225 ~ 380Mhz). 292.15 is paired with 135.8, according to the RR DB You're hearing the controller but not any aircraft because he's mostly talking to a/c on the VHF frequency but simulcasting on UHF. If you tune in 135.8 you should be able to hear the controller and the a/c.
Additionally, military a/c use this section of the band to communicate with each other (air to air), their squadron operations base, and range controllers such as the SEALORD range off the NJ coast. You're in a pretty good location to monitor military aircraft if that interests you.

I do not know much abt them Spanky but they are Brazilian...and in Portuguese
but there are alot daily sorry thats all I know ? probably truckers, loggers,etc.
