Hello,
I would like to buy an antenna for my Quansheng UV-k1.
So which 2m+70cm handled antenna could you suggest?

Hi @braluca. I use Diamond Antennas on all of my HTs. Here are their choices:
Pick your desired type of connector and gain and/or length of the antenna from the choices. I use the SRH77CA antenna for most of my HTs. It is a solid performer. Just be sure to select the antenna model number with the desired connector and gain and/or length.

I have one of those, and it worked Great until the plastic base cracked at the bottom. Which is why I suggested the Signal stick ... No plastic at all.

Next time I have need for a HT antenna, I’ll consider trying out your suggestion. So far, after 3 or 4 years of using Diamond Antennas, I have never had one to break.

Mine fell off the bench directly onto the top of the radio, which I think cracked the base of the antenna. The signal sticks have a Smaller Metal SMA Connector, or BNC whichever you need that the whip goes directly into. Nothing there to break at all ! The Whip is as flexible as Spaghetti too, which makes the Signal Stick pretty bullet proof ! Our Products :giggle:

I actually thought at first you really mean an antenna with a handle. As I have one for direction finding, I was looking up where I bought it. Came back here to post where, when I realized you typo'ed and meant "handheld (HT), not handled. :)

Same here, and I've been using them for over 25 years. I still have one from back then and still working like new.

Photos from the SignalStuff website:

Super-Elastic Signal Stick BNC:

That appears to be metal though the upper part of the connector surrounding the whip could be plastic.

Super-Elastic Signal Stick SMA Male:

That appears to be all plastic with metal female threads. I can confirm that the Signal Sticks that I own are the configuration shown in this photo.

simply I do not speak English well.... I am Italian, sorry for that and for all errors I shall do.
I have Quansheng UV K5(8) and UV K1, I am looking for alternative best performer antenna to substitute their own.
What I got in bundle seems to be fair good at 2m but not on 70cm.

Another vote for the Signalstuff folks. I use my stock antennas when just around the neighborhood, and the signalstuff antennas when I'm out and about for ARES. They work well, take a beating, and the cat likes playing with them.
