I currently have version 1.09.00 in my 396. Its been a while since I updated my scanner. What downloads do I need to put in my scanner. I ve been to the Uniden download section but Im not sure which ones I need.

Only download you can "put" in your scanner is the firmware - grab the latest.

So I see on the website downloads with a lower version number but a newer date. Then I see versions with a higher number but an older date. So exactly which downloads do I need if I have version 1.09.00?

This is the latest firmware update.
It is version number 1.11.03

I had to check our site after your post...I can only see one firmware update there. Where are you seeing the other firmware updates? (Sometimes "orphans" do get loose where they aren't supposed to be...)

Find thier scanner pages LOOK UNDER DIGITAL SCANNERs, NOT HANDHELDs'
then navgate to support under your particular model find support etc downloads are near their....
