396XT "Custom 10" help

About a week ago I hit the Function key in the dark.
I now see the 396 doing odd things and it keeps displaying"
Custom 10
852.9375
As I try to make it scan (will scan briefly).
I've been googling but thus far I can't seem to make it go away, I don't know what it is.

That's a custom search. Similar to a service search. You can lock it out the same way. Go to 2:20 in this video

Thanx CM. I'll fool with it more later. the frequency changed that it is trying to search to the 900's so I guess some progress.

I accidentally turn those on every once in a while myself and have no idea how. Glad you got it fixed.

There is so much on this radio and the 996 that I'll never use, I wish you could just lock them off.

Thanx. I activated it. The myriad of tables started to cross my eyes so I just went for it as turning it back off is easy.
