I’ve had my new Eton Elite Executive for a few days now, and here are some initial impressions after spending some time with it.*

-Size and weight are a good compromise. Smaller than my PL-660, larger than, say a CC Skywave.
-Air band works! Unlike on my otherwise awesome Tecsun PL-660 where it’s useless.
-Sensitivity on SW is about equal to XHData D-109 and Tecsun PL-660. Qodosen DX-286 beats it (not surprisingl). Not sure about MW and FM yet, need to use it more.
-Seems to last a long time between battery charges
-Easy to set up and use basic radio features. For more “advanced“ operations need to use manual, but manual is excellent and in actual English.
-Case is nice, feels well-made, display is excellent.

Some cons:
-Sound from speaker should be waaay better on a radio that has been sold for $130 and more.
-Weird button presses where you have to touch twice to get it to work.
-Cheaping out on included extras. Comes with charger and ”leather” cover. No batteries, earbuds or antenna. Cover looks nice but is rather useless.

More to come as I use it more.

*This radio is currently available at fire sale prices on eBay- $40-50. I think it was way overpriced at $130+. But for $40-50 it’s a steal.
