Do you guys keep forgetting he's in Austria? Rules for the US do not apply there.

His responses were a bit cheeky to those offering valid suggestions. It seems we get a lot of folks here on the boards that like to be uber critical of the free advice they are given.

Ok, well with that said, there is a company here in the states that makes an 802.11 board for the 70cm ham band. I will let the OP research that.

And I might add: 1) who in the world names there account YOUR ACCOUNT. And 2 ) When seeking advice, on the world wide web, dont assume the folks you are writing to have any idea what jurisdiction you live under. 3) When you have a requirement it DOES NOT HELP to be as vague as possible.

4RF comes to mind (Aussie or Kiwi, one of the Brit empire nations) but it is the price of a standard industrial grade SCADA radio. Native RS-232 and 802.3 interfaces though. (256 QAM I want to say but may be 64 QAM). They have some fairly large deployments in Australia Offshore and New Zealand inland locations.

About the same size of the Chinese micro-mobiles.

Another option may be just a traditional packet radio with internal modem. Argent Data makes one as does Tecnet and a few other manufacturers.
