I am having an issue downloading the newest EZscan software for a WS1080. Each time I try to download it I get a message that the connection has timed out. The link contains a reference to dropbox. Any help here would be appreciated.

It's in your web browser or anti-virus software blocking the download to protect you! Edge wouldn't download without a couple of hoops to jump through, but Opera and Firefox downloads it okay and Wackyracer says chrome works to. First thing to try is set your browser to download it to the download directory, trying to download it to drop box may be creating your problem.

When I first tried to download EZ Scan last year it only worked with Chrome. I've since been able to use other browsers but YMMV.

Thanks @scannerjunkie, strange that the update is available, and released two days ago, but there are no release notes on the TRX-1 software, however the WS1080 software update release notes says ...

Version 2.50 - October 28, 2020
  • Fixed an issue where conventional objects imported from a WS-1040/WS-1065 scanner were not listed on the conventional tab until the program was restarted.

But @Whistler_Support it is not allowing me to download it for the WS1080...

Your welcome N1GAW. i was surprised when i went to check for database update and found it. glad to see whistlers continued support. just noticed that error too now. will try the trx-1. trx-1 went through with no issues.

Getting the same error trying to down load this morning.

:( Oooops… Wonder what is the issue THIS time? Is it the resources available given the longer than recent issue about Whistler and scanners in general? I keep seeing problems with updates and issues with EZ-Scan lately. Ties in to support, and the whole picture? As a side note, lets all keep hoping there IS new scanners coming..... :(
