Can anyone ID this? Has solid not hollow elements and is heavy for it's size. What is the limit for size here? I hate to shrink it anymore?

Looks like an old Maxrad or similar brand. Nothing unusual, the elements could be even thicker as long as its all designed right.

That has 6 elements and would be around 7-8dBd gain. 7 elements wide spaced with good design will get you 10dBd gain. I would not cut a Yagi boom down in size as the elements are a specific length for the total design. If you were to remove an element or two and shorten the boom, the element spacing and length would need to change.

I like that it is solid not hollow and appears to be in great shape. N connector was done correctly with coax seal.

My bad on the title, I also have a log periodic I am playing with for distant stuff. sometimes I get a little over excited! I am also flipping a yagi for Pickens county high and low VHF. It formerly identified as a TV antenna!

Last time I saw the likes, it had a Phelps Dodge label. Betting 906 Mhz ISM/ESMR applications.
I have a couple stored stored away.
Laird or PcTel YS8966 is the closest equivalent you might find, just a slight lower quality. (cheaper)
IF you manage any disassembly, you are likely looking at refurbing the whole antenna. Having been up for decades, A bead blaster
will clean it up. The SS hardware may even twist the bolt heads off meaning some machining.
Probably have 11 Db gain at the frequency it is tuned for and need an analyzer to find that.
Q: What are you trying to monitor from Paris ?

The antenna pictured has a gamma match and Phelps Dodge/Celwave does not use that, the driven element has matching inside the boom and it just pokes out of an insulator. Maxrad/PCTEL, Cushcraft and others use a similar gamma match but I think its an old Maxrad.

I have one of those but I don't know who made it either. The tuning is a real pain.

Mine is 800 but it's super touchy. Any bit of movement of the match varies the tuning greatly. The fact the dialectric tube inside the match is old and crumbling doesn't help.
