With EDACS, control channels are actually not relevant for scanning. All site frequencies must be programmed in, and in proper order. This is unlike the typical Motorola Type II and P25 [which can be programmed with just the control channels].

As such we typically don't mark all of the control channels on an EDACS site. We actually shouldn't mark any in the DB as a control channel.

As far as it switching, that's not surprising. It's very rare that an AEP EDACS site wouldn't rotate across all channels at some point. At least in Network 3 each site rotates between them all eventually.

Well I understand now, being this is my first trunked system I have ever listened to.
It's the only one in my county.
