ron: i'll try to help...

i would recommend putting your files in consecutive folders... start at "0" thru "4".... on the settings page (the "title page", if you will, of each file make sure you have entered the information identifying the folder (this is what mine looks like: "metro.dsp.mp". i have about two dozen working v-folders, each with a tag that explains to me exactly what is in each)... that is the file i load in folder "0" AND is usually loaded in the working portion of the scanner....

when i need to listen to "metro.sehill" i know it is saved in folder "3" and when i am finished with it i put it back into "3". then load the file from folder "0","metro.dsp.mp". i go thru the button pushing to get there... thru the rebooting, etc...

i think, if i am reading you correctly, you are saving the file to the scratch folder then trying to load from the original folder... if you save to scratch you must load from scratch... i never use the scratch except to temporarily hold a file while i am fiddling with it....

hope this helps....

I use the 'scratchpad' folder as an 11th V-folder.

Whatever I want to listen to, I load that V-folder. When I want to listen to something else, I load that V-folder. If I've made any changes, I save the current V-folder before loading the next one.

You ARE waiting for it to save before hitting ENTER a second time after it's saved and CLR after that, aren't you?

It will show the file name as the 4th line on the opening display. (and only that line)

Open a new template in Win96 and you will see in the Settings Page:
Welcome To
Digital
Trunking

Line four is blank purposely so that you may enter the file (or system) name. The entry on line 4 will be the displayed data during boot up or when accessing V-Scanner after pressing 1-SAVE or 2-LOAD, then a V-Scanner number.
