996 cutting out in middle of conversation

First off, I love this scanner. However, i'm still trying to figure it all out!

On my conventional channels the broadcast will get interupted after about 5 seconds, where the audio is dropped, and then it resumes. It doesn't leave the frequency, but there is no audio...

Doesn't matter what frequency.

Is there a setting that can be causing this? I know with the older scanners if it is in priority mode it will do this, but I have priority off.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

sounds like you have close call on or wx priority. try shutting those off.

5 seconds = Weather Priority
2 seconds = Close Call Priority* or Conventional Priority**

* If you want to use Close Call w/o the "break" be sure to select Close Call DND.
** Will only interrupt Conventional scanning
