Just got a new 996XT. Working my way through the operations. How do you lock out a channel? I know how to do the temporary lockout, but how do you do the permanent? Need to know how to lock and lock out a channel?

does that lock out the channel or the bank? I did that I think once it it unlocked all the channels?

Geeze, you asked a simple question, a nice person gave you a simple, correct answer AND a link to a 996XT manual, but now instead of simply trying what he told you and/or RTFM, you decide to challenge his answer?! Insane!!

Hooligan- Wasn't trying to challenge his answer. Was simply asking a question as I tried doing what he suggested but I didn't think it worked for me. As an intelligent person, I know how to read and have looked at the online version of the 996Xt manual. Excuse me, for asking an honest question in the correct forum. Wow- I am always impressed by the attitude of some of the RR members here.
DDan, CoolCat Thanks for the info....

Thats the only problem with forums, there always seem to be a few people with ego problems in them.

I think that all of us are here to learn and to help eachother. Some people could just use a little decaf coffee instead of the full strength. I mean seriously, it tastes just as good.

Some of us don't sugarcoat things and I don't see a problem with that. I did take offense to the OPs questioning of my answer but I bit my tongue and moved on. I learned a long time ago that some people are tough to help.Hooligan said exactly what I was thinking. This thread could have just died but you had to bring it back just to criticize someone.
