I was told that the SDS100 had poor VHF reception with the stock antenna.
I so happened to have one of these Whistler Antennas to replace a damaged one on my Radioshack Pro-164.
I decided to take a gamble and try it out on my SDS100.
I connected the SMA to BNC adapter, then attached my whistler antenna to that.
Powered on my SDS100 and tuned it in to the aircraft list and to my pleasant surprise it worked, as well as all the other frequencies I have on there using location settings.
Not bad for a $10 antenna
